Ty Gibbs’ No. 54 crew clocked a 8.54 second stop, where the He Gets Us Toyota Camry received four-fresh tires, and was also refueled.
The fastest pit-stop in NASCAR history was previously held by this same team, recorded at 8.6 seconds in 2022 under the No. 18 of Kyle Busch, according to the team’s social media accounts.
The Joe Gibbs Racing Twitter account first made this news public, stating that the stop was the fastest of the 2023 season. Later the post was altered to reflect to historical feat that was accomplished.
Among the NASCAR pit crews, the No. 54 crew has proven to be one of the fastest, earlier this year winning the pit-crew competition during the North Wilkesboro All-Star weekend.
