Usually, we say "Paint Scheme" for the anchor-sponsor of the Hendrick Motorsports entry, but this year is different for the No. 48 machine. It will get two separate primary paint schemes, one for all the races ran during the daytime, and the second for the scheduled night races.
The "Daytime" race paint scheme (See Image Above) has an off-white base color while the purple, pink, and turquoise streak across the sides and top of the car. Ally settled for a white "A" logo in the middle of the dark purple hood, and the same purple color also is used on the rear bumper.
As for the "Night" race paint scheme (See Image Below), the black base color and an air-brush effect on the stripping along the sides, top and hood of the car. The Ally "A" that is showcased on the hood also uses that "air-brush effect", making the light purple/pink-ish logo blend into the paint scheme almost too well. Also the dark scheme running under the lights will pop the purple, pink, and turquoise colors that are blended into the No. 48 machine.

Both paint schemes have the potential to make it on just about everyone's favorite paint scheme list, or something like that. However, the alternate paint schemes between night and day races are a really neat idea, and we could see more of these concepts in the NASCAR future.
