Conor Daly will join Niece Motorsports in the month of July, driving the No. 41 truck at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, the team announced on Thursday afternoon.

Made public in the announcement, the No. 41 Silverado will be adorned with the blue and white colors of World Wide Express, in the 150 mile race sponsored by O'Rielly Auto Parts.

Daly is an American race car driver who has full-time experience, driving in the NTT IndyCar Series. Until the current month of June, Daly was a regular competitor driving the No. 20 for Ed Carpenter Racing.

In terms of stock car racing, Daly has competed in six NASCAR races throughout the last several years:

  • 2018, Xfinity Series at Road America, Roush Fenway Racing No. 6
  • 2020, Truck Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Niece Motorsports No. 42
  • 2021, Truck Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Niece Motorsports No. 44
  • 2022, Cup Series at Charlotte ROVAL, TMT Racing No. 50
  • 2023, Cup Series at Daytona International Speedway, TMT Racing No. 50
  • 2023, Cup Series at Circuit of the Americas, TMT Racing No. 50

As Daly heads to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the first time in a stock car, the Indiana native already has experience at the track. Competing in IndyCar the driver has scored five, top-15 finishes in a total of seven starts at this track. In those seven starts Daly has led a total of 22 laps. His best finish at the track was 6th place, in 2016.

“I can’t wait to work with everyone at Niece Motorsports again,” said Daly in a prepared statement for the team.

“Even though we’ve only done a few races together, it feels like I’m part of their family. I have a lot of respect for Al Niece and the supportive partners of the team like Unishippers and Worldwide Express. It means a lot to get to represent for them as well as Chevrolet. Mid-Ohio is one of my favorite tracks and with the experience I have there I think it will be really beneficial in getting me up to speed quickly.”

Conor Daly will return to the seat of a Niece Motorsports race machine for a third time, as the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series heads to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on July 8, 2023. The race will begin at 1:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcasted live on FOX Sports 1.
