Cole Custer wins pole for Bristol Dirt: Starting lineup for 2022 Cup Series "Food City Dirt Race"

    Stewart-Haas Racing's Cole Custer drove his No. 41 car straight to the pole position for the 2022 Bristol Dirt race, picking up his first-ever pole in the NASCAR Cup Series.

The lineup order was determined by four heat races, in which 9 drivers raced fifteen laps around the dirt-covered Bristol for qualifying positions. The No. 8 of Tyler Reddick topped the first heat race, the No. 20 of Christopher won the second heat race, No. 31 driver Justin Haley won the third heat race, and the No. 42 of Ty Dillon won the fourth and last heat race.
