Blake Harris, a now former Joe Gibbs Racing car chief for Martin Truex, Jr, has left the team for a new position at Front Row Motorsports in 2022. Harris will become the Crew Chief for Michael McDowell's No. 34 team in the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series season.

Harris will bring a championship resume to FRM as he worked with Truex at Furniture Row Racing when he won the 2017 NASCAR Cup Series championship. Harris has also worked with Evernham Motorsports and most recently, Joe Gibbs Racing.

Harris will replace Drew Blickensderfer on top of the pit box for the No. 34 team starting at the 2022 Daytona 500, which Blickensderfer led McDowell on to win at the 2021 event. Blickensdurfer announced his departure from Front Row Motorsports only days ago, as he heads to Stewart-Haas Racing to guide the No. 10 team.
