In 2022, when this location was first utilized for NASCAR racing, the organization constructed a one-quarter-mile oval inside of the famous sports stadium. Within this stadium asphalt was laid, and it is believed the project cost NASCAR about $1 million. Fans from the California and the West Coast market flocked to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to attend the race. The event was an instant success.
Now the unique racing event will return to kick off the 2023 NASCAR season. The layout, and qualifying and race format are still not solidified, although fans could expect to see something similar to what was seen in 2022's event.
