During FOX's final NASCAR Cup Series broadcast of the 2022 season, at Sonoma Raceway it was revealed that NASCAR's pre-season exhibition race, known as the BUSCH Clash will return to the Los Angeles Memorial Colisuem for the 2023 season

In 2022, when this location was first utilized for NASCAR racing, the organization constructed a one-quarter-mile oval inside of the famous sports stadium. Within this stadium asphalt was laid, and it is believed the project cost NASCAR about $1 million. Fans from the California and the West Coast market flocked to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to attend the race. The event was an instant success.

Now the unique racing event will return to kick off the 2023 NASCAR season. The layout, and qualifying and race format are still not solidified, although fans could expect to see something similar to what was seen in 2022's event.
