On the released image with the fresh paint schemes, it appears that there will be two different AAA schemes on the No. 22 car. The red, white, and blue colored cars will run at Auto Club Speedway on February 27th, and Texas Motor Speedway on September 25th. The Texas car uses the new number placement very well, filling in any gaps, but the Auto Club paint scheme (with the classic AAA logo) has a lot of unused space over the rear tires. With any luck, Team Penske may be able to use that space for other sponsors, though the intent of the unused space is not clear.
Overall, the paint schemes look sharp on the No. 22 car, just one being better than the other. Teams will eventually find more ways to better fill the newly created space for sponsor logos.
You will not want to miss this car hit the track in February and then again in September of 2022!
