Starting lineup for Richmond, NASCAR Cup Series “Toyota Owners” 400 Spring 2023

     Due to inclement weather in Richmond, Virginia, NASCAR Cup Series qualifying has been canceled for Saturday, April 1, 2023. Instead the NASCAR sanctioning body has defaulted to their qualifying metric to determine the starting lineup for the Cup Series “Toyota Owners” 400 at Richmond Raceway.


This scenario will result in Alex Bowman and the No. 48 Camaro starting from the pole position in the “Toyota Owners” 400. Alongside the No. 48 will start 37 year old, Kyle Busch in the No. 8 3CHI Chevrolet.


Although NASCAR Cup Series race activities could always face unforeseen weather events, the forecast in Richmond looks to be without rain. With only a 10% chance of precipitation, the Cup Series race will likely begin at the scheduled time of 3:30 PM ET.
