The 23-year-old driver from Noblesville, Indiana is adding to his resumé this weekend, as he pilots a RSS Racing Mustang in Richmond, Virginia. With 11 career Truck Series starts, Hacker has become the only driver in NASCAR history to compete after suffering a brachial plexus injury.
The injury, which causes nerve damage at birth has resulted in the limited mobility of Hacker’s left arm.
To his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut, Hacker will bring sponsorship from the Morgan & Morgan injury law firm. In a deal cemented last year, the driver and sponsor originally partnered for Nashville Superspeedway.
Since, the partnership has flourished into racing opportunities at:
- Phoenix Raceway (Nov. 4, 2023)
- Daytona International Speedway (Feb. 17, 2023)
- Richmond Raceway (upcoming, April 1, 2023)
- World Wide Technology Speedway (upcoming, June 3, 2023)
- Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park (upcoming, Aug. 11, 2023)
- Bristol Motor Speedway (upcoming, Sept. 14, 2023)
“This is an incredible opportunity and a dream come true. Huge thanks to the Sieg family, Graf family, @forthepeople and everyone else that made this happen!” said Hacker on Twitter, Monday.
RSS Racing currently competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with multiple race teams, the No. 28, No. 38 and No. 39. The team often finishes within the top-20, doing so seven times in 2023.
