27-year-old Chase Elliott is no doubt skilled when it comes to racing around the crazy compilation of turns that are known as road courses. In fact, Elliott has seven road course victories, the third-most in NASCAR Cup Series history, and the most among all other active drivers. In 2021, he piloted the No. 9 machine to victory in the inaugural race at COTA, which was also the 800th victory for Chevrolet.
The NASCAR driver has not been behind the wheel of his racecar in almost four weeks due to a snowboarding accident, in which Elliott suffered from a fractured tibia (leg). He underwent a long but successful surgery, and it is expected that full recovery time will take approximately six weeks.
While Chase Elliott has been out of contention, Josh Berry, a full-time Xfinity Series driver, drove the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro at Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Atlanta. WeatherTech SportsCar Championship driver Jordan Taylor is set to fill in for Elliott during the 'EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix' at COTA this Sunday.
Tune in to hear Chase Elliott's takes during the NASCAR Cup Series 'EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix' at COTA on Sunday, March 26. The race will begin at 3:30 PM, ET, televised live on FOX, and will also be radio broadcasted on PRN and SiriusXM.
