Dawson Cram announced on Wednesday (09/14/2022) that he will return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 47 Chevrolet Camaro for Mike Harmon Racing in the "Food City" 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Cram’s Camaro will feature new partner, Michael Waltrip Brewing Company. KMI Trucking and THP, both longtime partners of Cram, will return to fund the young driver.
“It feels great to have the support of Michael Waltrip.” said Cram. “Michael is a driver I watched race my entire childhood and has been a great mentor as I pave my NASCAR career.”
Michael Waltrip Brewing Company, founded in 2020, is a premium brewing company that celebrates the enthusiasm and joy of life with a mission to produce great tasting beers.
“Nothing goes better together than cold beer and NASCAR,” said Michael Waltrip. “Everyone at Michael Waltrip Brewing is thrilled to be partnering with Dawson at Bristol this weekend. I’ve been following Dawson’s career since he started in Truck Series. I think he was about 15! Now he’s 21 and that means a post-race cold beer is in order!”
The rising NASCAR star made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut with Mike Harmon Racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway during the summer of 2021. Cram will make his third NASCAR Xfinity Series start this Friday, coming off a strong run at Darlington Raceway.
He will look to beat his best career series finish of 30th. It is worth noting that he only has one NASCAR Truck Series start at Bristol Motor Speedway, with a finish of 35th due to an incident on lap-69.
“I am delighted to return to Bristol Motor Speedway,” said Cram. “There is something about the energy that the Last Great Colosseum produces and gets everyone excited. I am grateful to Mike Harmon and the entire team for their continued support and providing me another opportunity to run with them. I can’t think of a better way to spend my birthday week!”
I’m addition to @WaltripBrewing I will have KMI Trucking on the hood, THP on the deck lid, @RichMarRacing on the b-post, and last but not least @VictorySimLLC on the b-post! pic.twitter.com/IS7A3Cl0Wi
