The starting lineup for this afternoon's NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway has been determined. The Hendrick Motorsports No. 5 of Kyle Larson will start in the pole position, alongside teammate, the No. 9 of Chase Elliott who will start 2nd.
The starting lineup was determined using single car qualifying session, a rare occurrence in 2021. Qualifying was used solely based on the fact that the Championship is on the line, otherwise the lineup would have been determined by a drivers' statistics from the most recent race.
