NASCAR Xfinity Series lineup for Auto Club Speedway 2023

     Due to inclement weather in Fontana, California, NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series qualifying has been canceled for Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023. Instead the NASCAR sanctioning body has defaulted to their qualifying metric to determine the starting lineup for the Xfinity Series’ final race at Auto Club Speedway’s two-mile layout.


This qualifying metric will result in Austin Hill and the No. 21 team starting from the pole-position. Alongside Hill will start John Hunter Nemechek and the No. 20 Supra.

Due to lack of traditional qualifying the No. 99 BJ McLeod Motorsports team of Garrett Smithley, and the No. 74 CHK Racing team of Ryan Vargas will not qualify for the 300 mile event.


Although Saturday’s “Production Alliance Group” 300 is still scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm, forecasts for the Fontana, California area unanimously call for rain.
