Polesitter Ty Gibbs led the entire first 89-laps and won the stage. JR Motorsports continued their points grab with Justin Allgaier, as he scored the Stage 2 win and led 148-laps during the race.
Sheldon Creed was trying to spoil the party and clinch his way into the playoff field, using pit strategy to make up track position. What made things interesting was when Creed was running the fastest laps on the oldest tires in the field, while some had pitted for four, fresh Goodyear Eagles. Creed would eventually lose his lengthy lead to Ty Gibbs and Noah Gragson, and then crashed when Gragson made a bit of contact to Gibbs. Both Gibbs and Creed ended their days in the garage.
