AJ Allmendinger pulled another trick out of his hat when he scored the victory at the 2022 "Pennzoil" 150 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 30th. He completely schooled the NASCAR Xfinity Series field, leading 42 of the 62-laps.
JR Motorsports drivers Noah Gragson and Josh Berry scored the extra stage points, while some other small organizations also took advantage of Stage points. Myatt Snider finished second in Stage 1, while Alex Labbe picked up the runner-up points from Stage 2: both of these drivers needed to earn some points and that they did.
At the end, Allmendinger held off NASCAR Cup Series regular Alex Bowman for the victory.
