As Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch and his wife, Samantha are preparing to welcome their second child into the world, Joe Gibbs Racing has assigned a backup driver for the No. 18 car this weekend and the following, should Busch not be able to compete in one or the other.
Trevor Bayne, the 2011 "Daytona" 500 champion, will be on standby for Kyle Busch, should the surrogate carrying his 2nd child go into labor sometime over the next two race weekends. It is understandable for Busch to take this opportunity to be with his family during this milestone.
So, for this weekend at Darlington Raceway and next week at Kansas Speedway, Trevor Bayne will be on site if he needs to relieve Busch of his duties.
