The 2022 NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway has been red flagged after the completion of only 78-laps, due to mother nature giving us some showers of rain. The "DuraMAX Drydene" 400 will now be postponed under Monday, May 2nd, the television coverage resuming at 12:00 PM EST on FOX Sports 1.

Polesitter Chris Buescher led the first 19-laps before Denny Hamlin blasted right past him in his No. 11 Toyota Camry. The caution flag came out on lap-69 due to some rainfall, some cars pitted including the leaders while Kyle Larson and a few others stayed out to inherit the lead before NASCAR pulled out the red flag.

It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow afternoon at Dover Motor Speedway, as this will be the first race to be postponed of the 2022 season due to weather.

Just an interesting fact for tomorrow is that a standing statistic is that Kyle Busch is known for winning on his birthday, which just happens to be on May 2nd. Last year, Busch landed in victory lane at Kansas Speedway on his birthday, making it the 2nd time in his NASCAR Cup Series career. Could he break the tie with Cale Yarborough, to win a 3rd NASCAR Cup Series event on his birthday?
