In a last-lap pass, Chris Buescher brings the No. 17 Ford Mustang to victory lane with RFK Racing sweeping the "Bluegreen Vacations" Duels at Daytona International Speedway on Thursday, February 17th. Teammate and RFK Racing co-owner Brad Keselowski, had won the first Duel race of the evening.

The second 60-lap qualifying race to set the official race lineup for the "Daytona" 500 got off to a hectic start, staying two to three-wide for almost the first half of the event. Eleven different drivers took the lead at some point during the second duel, those drivers being:

  1. Joey Logano - No. 22 Ford Mustang (33 Laps led)
  2. Chris Buescher - No. 17 Ford Mustang (17 Laps led)
  3. Alex Bowman - No. 48 Chevrolet Camaro (7 Laps led)
  4. Austin Dillon - No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro (2 Laps led)
  5. Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. - No. 47 Chevrolet Camaro (1 Lap led)

The only caution for the evening came when race winner Chris Buescher made contact with then race leader Joey Logano after the white flag.

Non-chartered team NY Racing will make the "Daytona" 500 with veteran driver Greg Biffle based on his finish, as Jacques Villeneuve secured his place in the event on speed. This leaves Timmy Hill and MBM Motorsports out of the 40-car lineup on Sunday.
