The Next Gen car will make its big debut in the "Busch Clash" at the LA Colosseum on February 6th, being the first race that we will see the No. 11 FedEx machine back in action after the off-season.
As you look at the new scheme, one of the first things you'll notice is that the FedEx trademark purple and orange colors take a larger part of the scheme; more than the past couple of seasons. They have overtaken the white scheme used in the most recent years, trending more towards the old FedEx schemes from Denny Hamlin's early days on the NASCAR Cup Series circuit. Overall, FedEx uses the new space created by the new number placement very well, not leaving much empty space: they even left a small space over the rear wheel well for an associate sponsors logo.
This paint scheme will be Denny Hamlin's primary scheme for the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series Season.
New year, new look! Check out this fresh new paint scheme @dennyhamlin and the #FedEx11 car will be sporting in 2022 💜 🔥 pic.twitter.com/PSAlNEYuSG
