The younger brother of Martin Truex, Jr. and a long time competitor in NASCAR, Ryan Truex will be making an upward advancement for the first time in a long time. Having a stable and steady career in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, scoring 22 top-10 finishes, 12 top-five finishes, and even two pole awards coming from his 2017 season. Beyond the Truck Series, Ryan Truex’s opportunities have taken him big places. In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Truex drive for teams such as Kaulig Racing, Jr Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing, Tommy Baldwin Racing, and Michael Waltrip Racing, racking up 24 top-10 finishes, four top-five finishes, and even one pole award.
Now in 2022, Ryan Truex will join forces with an organization known for their steady improvement over the past few seasons. In 2021, Sam Hunt Racing achieved a stage win at Texas Motor Speedway, with Blaine Perkins, adding on to their two top-10 finishes, and lone top-five finish. The pairing between Sam Hunt Racing and Ryan Truex should be fairly strong, and an impressive finish could even be achieved. Joining Jeffery Earnhardt in 2022, as the Grandson of Dale Earnhardt Sr. takes the wheel of the No. 26 for four races, Sam Hunt Racing will be in good company for this upcoming season.
