Miguel Paludo will return to JR Motorsports for 3 races in 2022: Will drive the No. 88

    JR Motorsports has announced Wednesday that Miguel Paludo, a Brazilian race car driver, will return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2022 for three races with the team. 

Paludo piloted the No. 8 Camaro for JRM during the 2021 season on three separate occasions. He drove the car to a career best finish of 7th place at the Daytona Road Course in February, as well as participating in the NASCAR Xfinity Series races at Circuit of the Americas and Mid-Ohio.

In 2022 Miguel Paludo will drive the No. 88 Chevrolet Camaro, sponsored by Brandt Professional Agriculture, in the three events listed below:

• Circuit of the Americas (March 26th)
• Road America (July 2nd)
• Indianapolis International Speedway Road Course (July 30th)

 Miguel Paludo will join Dale Earnhardt, Jr, as the only scheduled driver of the No. 88 JRM entry. This decision was likely made as Sam Mayer is expected to drive the No. 8 car full time in 2022, whereas it has been a landing place for many part-time drivers throughout previous seasons.
