Tyler Ankrum headed to Hattori Racing in 2022: Will pilot the No. 16

Hattori Racing Enterprises
Hattori Racing Enterprises announced Wedesday that the team will expand to a two-truck operation for the 2022 race season. The team have selected driver Tyler Ankrum to pilot the No. 16 Toyota Tundra next season, joining Chase Purdy as the two former GMS Racing teammates will now call Hattori Racing Enterprises home.

Tyler Ankrum recently wrapped up his second full-time season with GMS Racing in the No. 26 Chevrolet Silverado. Ankrum will be looking to add to his win column in 2022, as his latest and only Truck Series win came in 2019 at Kentucky, while driving for David Gilliland Racing.

Liuna, a labor union which is synonymous with Ankrum, will follow the driver to Hattori Racing Enterprises, sponsoring 20 races out of the 23 race season. This leaves only a small sponsorship void for the driver.
