JTG Daugherty Racing driver Ricky Stenhouse, Jr, will have a new spotter in the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season. Former Hendrick Motorsports spotter, Tab Boyd, will be the eyes and ears for the No. 47 Chevrolet Camaro next year.

Stenhouse made the comments during an appearance on “Garage Talk,” a popular YouTube show. He discussed the lineup change and how he has embraced the extra opportunities to test out the Next Gen car before taking on the 2022 schedule, as JTG Daugherty will only have the No. 47 car next year.

Boyd was the spotter for William Byron in the 2021 Cup Series season, which was a very strong season for Byron with a string of top-10 finishes to start off the year.
