Jeb Burton, the son of Ward Burton, has made his presence known in NASCAR, most notably driving for Kaulig Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. After winning his first Xfinity Series race in 2021, Burton and Matt Kaulig’s race team parted ways, primarily due to lack of funding for the Virginian native. Jeb Burton had consistent sponsorship from Nutrien Ag Solutions, though when the company decided to make significant cuts to their sponsorship, and drop Jeb Burton, there was no incentive for Kaulig to re-sign the driver.
Unclear is the amount of sponsorship that Burton will carry to Our Motorsports, but it’s expected that Burton will be able to find some of his own. One reason that sponsorship may be easier to find behind the wheel of the No. 27 is because it belongs to a smaller, less competitive race team. While this may not be the best thing from a racer’s standpoint, for corporate sponsorship this is an attractive aspect. Most importantly, being less competitive and having smaller facilities and less
As previously covered here at Stock Car Media, Jeb Burton will join Brett Moffitt and Anthony Alfredo to compose Our Motorsports three full-time teams in 2022. Now we know that the No. 27 will be what Burton intends to drive. Brett Moffitt has been a Champion in NASCAR's Camping World Truck Series, and for the past handful of seasons has driven for Our Motorsports on multiple occasions. Now Moffitt will have a chance to point his consitency towards the playoffs. Anthony Alfredo is another driver who will join Burton in 2022, taking a step down from the NASCAR Cup Series to find a more competitive ride in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. All three drivers have shown competitive nature in the past, now the stability they will find in Our Motorsports next season may be a major contributor towards their success.
