Trackhouse Racing had puchased Chip Ganassi Racing's NASCAR operations back in June of this year. CGR was not officially for sale, but Trackhouse team-owner, Justin Marks, had offered to purchase Chip Ganassi's NASCAR team from him. Trackhouse will employ many former CGR employees and team members. One of those being driver Ross Chastain, who will drive along side of Daniel Suarez for Trackhouse in 2022.
Chip Ganassi Racing ran their last ever NASCAR Cup Series laps at Phoenix Raceway only a few weeks ago. Trackhouse Racing now are the new owners of the 2 charters, and much of the equipment used by CGR over the years. The old team building, however, was purchased by a Hendrick affiliated company.

Chip Ganassi Racing has sold its 22-acre headquarters to a top competitor as the Concord-based NASCAR team shuts down.

So, it is likely that Trackhouse is leasing the former CGR shop from its new owners. The sophomore Cup team, will attempt to win a Cup race, and possibly be a threat for a championship in a few years.
