Myatt Snider not returning to RCR in 2022

Myatt Snider, who has been driving the No. 2 Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Richard Childress Racing, will not be returning to the organization in 2022.

The 2021 Xfinity Series season was Snider's second full-time season in the series. He ran a part-time schedule in the No. 21 Camaro for RCR, and drove the remainder of the season for Ryan Sieg Racing in the No. 93 Camaro.

Tapped to drive the No. 2 Camaro full-time this season, Snider punched his ticket to the 2021 Xfinity playoffs early with a win at Homestead-Miami in February, but unfortunately would not advance past the Round of 12. He went to Las Vegas as the 12th seed in points, a 15th place finish moved him up to 9th, and 10 points under the cutline. Some bad luck at Talladega would place him in a must-win at the Charlotte Roval. An 8th place finish on the road course was far from a win for Snider, thus he was eliminated.

No plans were announced for Snider, but there are multiple seats wide open in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for 2022. Jeb Burton was said not to return to the No. 10 Camaro at Kaulig Racing, which is an RCR affiliated team. There are plenty of opportunities for Snider, but we just have to wait and see.
