2021 NASCAR Truck Series Playoff field is complete

    The playoff field is set for the NASCAR Truck Series, as the last race of the regular season was at Watkins Glen International this past weekend. 


John Hunter Nemechek, driver for Kyle Busch Motorsports, had clinched the regular-season championship title after the July 9th race at Knokville Raceway. 


Of the 10 driver playoff field, includes two former Truck champions: Sheldon Creed and Matt Crafton.


Below is the 10 drivers who will have advanced to the 2021 NASCAR Truck Series Playoffs:

  1. John Hunter Nemechek [No. 4 Toyota / Kyle Busch Motorsports] 2049 Points / 5 Wins (Regular-Season champion)
  2. Austin Hill [No. 16 Toyota / Hattori Racing Enterprises] 2021 Points / 2 Wins
  3. Ben Rhodes [No. 99 Toyota / ThorSport Racing] 2019 Points / 2 Wins
  4. Todd Gilliland [No. 38 Ford / Front Row Motorsports] 2015 Points / 1 Win
  5. Sheldon Creed [No. 2 Chevrolet / GMS Racing] 2011 Points / 1 Win
  6. Zane Smith [No. 21 Chevrolet / GMS Racing] 2009 Points
  7. Matt Crafton [No. 88 Toyota / ThorSport Racing] 2004 Points,
  8. Carson Hocevar [No. 42 Chevrolet / Niece Motorsports] 2002 Points
  9. Chandler Smith [No. 18 Toyota / Kyle Busch Motorsports] 2001 Points
  10. Stewart Friesen [No. 52 Toyota / Halmar Friesen Racing] 2001 Points

If you were wondering, the Truck Series playoff field will consist of:
  • 6 Toyota drivers,
  • 3 Chevrolet drivers
  • 1 Ford driver.

It will be interesting to see who, out of these 10 drivers, will make their way to the Championship 4 at Phoenix this fall.
