- June 20th, 1948: NASCAR visits Alabama for the first time; Tim Flock notches his first NASCAR win at Greensboro, N.C.
- June 25th, 1950: Jimmy Florian wins the 100 mile race at Ohio's Dayton Speedway, giving Ford their first NASCAR Grand National victory.
- June 21st, 1953: Dick Rathmann wins the “International” 200, also known as the first event NASCAR hosted that was open to foreign and domestic cars alike. Frank Arford, driving an Oldsmobile, was killed in a qualifying incident.
- June 21st, 1981: Bobby Allison weaves through carnage of a last lap crash - involving several of the leading cars - to win at Michigan Speedway.
- June 22nd, 1997: Hendrick Motorsports lands another 1-2 finish - Jeff Gordon winning and Terry Labonte coming in second - at the new California Speedway.
- June 21st, 1998: Jeremy Mayfield scores his first NASCAR Winston Cup victory in the “Pocono” 500, leading 122 of the 200 laps.
- June 24th, 2007: Rookie Juan Pablo Montoya declares his first NASCAR victory in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway.
- June 26th, 2016: Tony Stewart scores his final NASCAR Cup Series victory at Sonoma Raceway, holding off a hard charging Denny Hamlin for the win.
