Pre-Race Predictions: Pocono Doubleheader

Jared C. Tilton/Getty Images

As this weekend at the "Tricky Triangle" will hold not just one Cup race, but two, it will be harder to predict the winner of each. This will be the second year-in-a-row, that, Pocono Raceway has hosted a doubleheader weekend.

There are many multi-winners at Pocono, and some of them have a really good chance at sweeping the weekend.

Ones to watch for the win:
  • Denny Hamlin [No. 11 Toyota / Joe Gibbs Racing] - A 6-time winner at Pocono, one of those as recent as last year, but is currently winless in 2021. Does that change coming into this weekend?
  • Kevin Harvick [No. 4 Ford / Stewart-Haas Racing] - The most recent winner at Pocono, will he go back-to-back with his lone win here? Harvick still has yet to scratch the victory column this year.
  • Brad Keselowski [No. 2 Ford / Team Penske] - Another lone winner, all the way back in 2011. Could that change 10 years later?
  • Kyle Larson [No. 5 Chevrolet / Hendrick Motorsports] - Can Larson steal the win, and possibly the championship points lead here at Pocono?

A few others to keep an eye on for Pocono:
  • Martin Truex, Jr. [No. 19 Toyota / Joe Gibbs Racing]
  • Austin Dillon [No. 3 Chevrolet / Richard Childress Racing]
  • Ryan Blaney [No. 21 Ford (Mustang)/Team Penske]
  • Chris Buescher [No. 17 Ford (Mustang)/Roush Fenway Racing]

The “Pocono Organics CBD” 325 will begin on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at 3:00 PM ET, followed by the “Explore the Pocono Mountains” 350 which will begin on Sunday, June 27th, 2021 at 3:30 PM ET. Both races will be aired live on NBCSN.

Who are you rooting for this weekend at Pocono? Did I miss somebody who might just snag the win? Place your driver picks in the comments below, we’d love to hear what you think!
