Ryan Preece to run Trent Owens throwback

      Ryan Preece will drive this No. 37 Velveeta machine in the Darlington throwback race, but wouldn’t you agree that this scheme is a little cheesey (pun intended)?! 

Preece’s paint scheme will honor driver Trent Owens, who has a total of 12 NASCAR Truck Series starts, which came in 2001 and 2002. Owens drove the Dickie's, No. 15 Ford F-150 for 6 races in 2002 (See image below.)

As of 2021, Trent Owens is the Crew Chief for the Ryan Preece and the No. 37 team. 

You can catch this paint scheme hit the track during the "Goodyear” 400 at Darlington Raceway, on Sunday, May 9th. Race coverage will begin at 3:30 PM EST, aired live on FOX Sports 1.
