Joe Gibbs Racing announced on Social Media today (4/26/21) that Denny Hamlin will bring a throwback paint scheme to Darlington Raceway that honors Julius "Slick" Johnson. Johnson was a NASCAR Cup Series driver in the 1980's, making a total of 68 starts, and racking up 7 top 10s.
You can catch this paint scheme during the “Goodyear” 400 at Darlington Raceway on Sunday, May 9th. Coverage will begin at 3:30 P.M. EST broadcasted on FOX Sports 1.
