NASCAR has approved of MBM Motorsports request, to run the No. 13 in the Cup Series for 2021. Last year, MBM ran the No. 49 on a part-time basis.
The No. 13 was last run by Germain Racing with Ty Dillon behind the wheel. A brand new team in 2021, 23XI Racing bought out Germain Racing's charter last fall, and decided to use the No. 23 instead of 13.
