David Gilliland Racing releases new paint scheme for the No. 46 of Thad Moffitt

David Gilliland Racing

David Gilliland racing announced today (2/3/21) that Thad Moffitt, driver of the No. 46 in the ARCA Menards Series would be primarily sponsored by Clean Harbors and Clean Pacs in the 2021 season.

The team announced this decision in part through the paint scheme above. The new paint scheme for the No. 46 is mostly red, white, and a little bit blue, and of course it adorns the classic Petty “swoops”. The use of the Petty “swoops” is only relevant because Thad Moffitt is NASCAR legend, the king, Richard Petty’s grandson.

Clean Pacs is a company that manufactures and distributes concentrated, and dissolvable cleaning products. The company has sponsored Moffitt in the past, and will continue this year.

Clean Harbors, America’s leading provider in environmental and industrial services will also be on the No. 46 Ford Fusion. The company has sponsored Moffitt since 2017, with their brand of recycled motor oil, Performance Plus.

While these sponsors are no stranger to Thad Moffitt or David Gilliland Racing, this paint scheme is very unique and in fact looks very different from many paint schemes Moffitt has run throughout his racing career. Thad Moffitt will likely drive this paint scheme, or one like it, for at least 11 races in the 2021 season of the ARCA Menards Series.

Thad Moffitt will be driving the No. 46 car, and this paint scheme at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 13th at the ARCA Menards Series opener (broadcasted live on FS1).
