Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. and JTG Daugherty Racing sign multi-year contract extension

Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. has become the latest NASCAR Cup Series driver to extend their current contract, as he will be staying with JTG Daugherty Racing and the No. 47 Chevrolet Camaro crew for the next year or so. It is believed to be a multi-year deal, as multiple parties within the organization have lightly stated.

Stenhouse, has driven full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series since moving up with Roush-Fenway Racing in 2013, after scoring back-to-back NASCAR Xfinity Series championships in 2011 and 2012 with the organization. In his now 9-years on the circuit, his still only has 2 career victories: both wins coming at superspeedways in 2017.

Now he is in his 3rd season with JTG Daugherty Racing, and now the future appears to have a confirmed 4th year and possible 5th driving the No. 47 car.

Of course, we have seen the sponsorship dwindle for the small racing operation in part years, as at the end of 2021, they downsized from a 2-car team to a single car team. So that may be the only concern in the next couple of years, unless a few certain teams really want to pay for the purchase of the No. 47's charter.
