Playoff Projections: 2022 NASCAR Truck Series Playoff lineup

NASCAR Creative Design
The NASCAR Truck Series playoff field has been set, and the chase for the 2022 series championship.

Here is a peek at the newly set playoff drivers, in order of the current point standings:
  1. Zane Smith - No. 38 Ford / Front Row Motorsports
  2. Chandler Smith - No. 18 Toyota / Kyle Busch Motorsports
  3. Ben Rhodes - No. 99 Toyota / ThorSport Racing
  4. John Hunter Nemechek - No. 4 Toyota / Kyle Busch Motorsports
  5. Stewart Friesen - No. 52 Toyota / Halmar Friesen Motorsports
  6. Christian Eckes - No. 98 Toyota / ThorSport Racing
  7. Ty Majeski - No. 66 Toyota / ThorSport Racing
  8. Carson Hocevar - No. 42 Chevrolet / Niece Motorsports
  9. Grant Enfinger - No. 23 Chevrolet / GMS Racing
  10. Matt Crafton - No. 88 Toyota / ThorSport Racing

Zane Smith, who won the regular season championship, will go into the Round of 10 as the title favorite, that is if he can survive the nine hungry drivers behind him. Christian Eckes, Ty Majeski, Carson Hocevar, Grant Enfinger, and Matt Crafton are all of the drivers who made the playoff field on points, so these five drivers will be likely to be the most aggressive during the next three races, attempting to score a win that will lock them into the next round. Of course, former series' champion's Matt Crafton and Ben Rhodes may be expected to perform very well under such pressure that comes from championship hunting, however, the "young guns" look better than ever at this time.

The NASCAR Truck Series playoffs will kick off on Friday, July 29th at Lucas Oil Raceway. Live television coverage will begin at 9:00 PM EST airing on FOX Sports 1.
