Joey Logano beat Kyle Busch in a single overtime attempt at Worldwide Technology Raceway to win his second race of the 2022 season.

The polesitter Chase Briscoe led the first 27-laps before a left-rear tire when down on his No. 14 Ford Mustang, basically taking him out of contention for the early-stage points. Austin Cindric, who started the race in second, would lead the remaining laps of Stage 1, gaining a point for the playoffs.

Stage 2, however would have an interesting turn of events as a "mid-pack driver" up front leading the race. Michael McDowell would lead a decent 34-lap run, beating the most laps lead for a year in his career. Kurt Busch, who hasn't necessarily been a season-long contends for points and wins, looked strong with the Stage 2 victory, and appeared to want more.

The Toyota teams showed their strength, with Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, and Martin Truex, Jr all showed up during the race, but a Team Penske Ford Mustang beat them to the win.
