As Brad Perez gets behind of the No. 43 ‘ISMFOF’ machine at Sonoma, the 25 year old from Hollywood, Florida will be making only his second NASCAR race. Perez’s first time competing in a race officially sanctioned by NASCAR was in March at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. There, Perez brought his Reaume Brothers Racing Toyota to the checkered flag in a solid 20th place.
“I Set My Friends On Fire” is an alternative rock band that originally began in the mid to late 2000’s. With hits like “Things that Rhyme with Orange”, “Ravenous, Ravenous Rhinos” and “It Comes Naturally” the band quickly forged a sound of their own. Perez just so happens to be close friends with members of this band
The band, “I Set My Friends On Fire” is best associated with a pink and white narwhal, which first made it’s appearance in the band’s 2008 album “You Can’t Spell Slaughter Without Laughter”. That pink and white narwhal will be depicted on the side of Brad Perez’a No. 43 Tundra this weekend, as the band’s name also adorns the race truck.
You can catch this paint scheme hit the track on Saturday, June 11th in the “DoorDash” 250, as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns to returns to the twists and turns of Sonoma Raceway. Live coverage will begin at 7:30 PM ET, and will be aired live on FOX Sports 1.
