Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. advances to compete in 2022 "All-Star Race" at Texas: Wins Stage 1 in "All-Star Open Race"

     By winning one of the stages in the NASCAR "All-Star Open Race" you automatically advance to the main event in the "All-Star Race". The Stage 1 winner of the 2022 "All-Star Open Race" was Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.

Ricky Stenhouse, Jr, who qualified as 3rd fastest for the qualifying race, led all of the opening Stage's 20-laps to the green-and-white checkered flag, punching his ticket to the "All-Star Race' tonight. It will be his 4th-ever "All-Star Race" appearance, and first with JTG Daugherty Racing and the No. 47 team.

The 2022 "All-Star Race" will take place at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 22nd. Live race coverage will begin at 8:00 PM EST on FOX Sports 1.
