Jeffery Earnhardt set to pilot No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Xfinity car at Talladega

    Richard Childress Racing unveiled on Tuesday morning (04/12/2022) that Jeffery Earnhardt will pilot a third NASCAR Xfinity Series entry for the organization, for the upcoming race at Talladega Superspeedway. Earnhardt will drive none other than the No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro, marking the first time an Earnhardt has driven the No. 3 car since 2010, when Dale Earnhardt, Jr. piloted the RCR entry at Daytona International Speedway.


Jeffrey Earnhardt is the grandson of seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Dale Earnhardt and is the nephew of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. His father, Kerry Earnhardt, was a regular competitor in the Xfinity Series from 1998 until 2009. Jeffrey Earnhardt has competed in all three NASCAR national series. He has 135 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts and owns a best finish of 3rd place with Joe Gibbs Racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway, dating back to 2019.


The Earnhardt family history at Talladega Superspeedway is very special. The "Intimidator" was known for his plate-racing skills, which really shown with his stats at Talladega. Dale Earnhardt had a grand total of 10 career NASCAR Winston Cup Series victory at the track, and showed consistency with 



ForeverLawn, which is headquartered in Louisville, Ohio and specializing in the manufacturing and installation of premium synthetic grass solutions, will be the primary sponsor of the entry for Earnhardt. New partners SuperPufft, Dalstrong, and The Accredited Petroleum Association are also a part of this journey, making their debut with the ForeverLawn family at Talladega. They will be featured on the No. 3 car alongside returning partners Synthetic Turf Resources and Precision Products. 


Earnhardt's ride will give a nod to the late "Intimidator's" classic black Chevrolet, just replacing the red and silver side skirts for a grass pattern for primary sponsor, ForeverLawn.


The NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Talladega Superspeedway will take place on Saturday, April 23rd. Live television coverage will begin at 1:30 PM EST on FOX.
