Christopher Bell wins pole for 2022 "Pennzoil" 400 at Las Vegas

    For the first time in his NASCAR Cup Series career, Christopher Bell wins the pole position at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.


The Joe Gibbs Racing driver had the fastest speeds in both of the two qualifying sessions, topping the leaderboard with a final lap-time of 29.561 seconds (182.673 MPH) over second-fastest Kyle Larson, who clocked in a lap-time of 29.668 seconds (182.014 MPH). Rookie Austin Cindric, Chase Briscoe, and Chase Elliott round out the top-5 in starting positions.

The "Pennzoil" 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will take place on Sunday, March 6th. Live television coverage for the race will begin at 3:30 PM EST on FOX.
