UniFirst extends partnership with Hendrick Motorsports through 2028

Patrick Smith/Getty Images

Hendrick Motorsports announced on Tuesday (02/09/2022) that UniFirst has extended their partnership to the NASCAR Cup Series organization, the 5-year deal running through 2028.

In addition to UniFirst being the "Official Workwear Provider of Hendrick Motorsports", the new agreement will increase its primary sponsorship of driver Chase Elliott. The company will maintain three primary races in both the 2022 and 2023 NASCAR Cup Series seasons before increasing to five per season from 2024 through 2028.

This year, the No. 9 UniFirst machine (See Image below), will appear at:

  1. Phoenix Raceway (Sunday, March 13th)
  2. Kansas Speedway (Sunday, May 15th)
  3. Michigan International Raceway (Sunday, August 7th)
Hendrick Motorsports
The new UniFirst paint scheme has nothing wrong with it, as the branding takes up a goof portion of the extra space on the door panel. Maybe the logo on the side could have been a bit larger, but no big adjustments would be needed, as the scheme looks good the way it is.

UniFirst could pave the way for Chase Elliott resigning with Hendrick Motorsports, to stay in the No. 9 car beyond 2022. I would be shocked if the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion parted ways with the organization, as Rick Hendrick said that he wanted to "keep the band together", while referring to his current driver roster.
