Molson Coors, Keystone Light to sponsor Austin Cindric for Texas All-Star Race

It was announced Tuesday afternoon (02/01/22) that Molson Coors will be continuing their longstanding partnership with Team Penske and will be displaying their Keystone Light brand on Austin Cindric's No. 2 Ford Mustang for the 2022 All-Star Race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Molson Coors' partnership journey with Team Penske began back when Danny Sullivan, an INDYCAR SERIES driver, won numerous races while displaying the Miller beer brand on his racecar. In 1991, Molson Coors expanded their partnership horizon by sponsoring NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace and his No. 2 car in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series. Since then, the alcoholic beverage company's brands have been featured on the No. 2 racecar for over 30 years, and they will continue their long history with Team Penske in 2022.

Adam Dettman, Head of Partnerships at Molson Coors, said, "Our 35-year partnership legacy with Team Penske - a constant in motorsports for almost four decades - has seen an all-star lineup of Molson Coors brands and Penske drivers teaming up to race for championships. Now Austin Cindric is hopping behind the wheel of the iconic No. 2 car for Keystone Light's second year as the featured brand. We look forward to raising a cold Keystone Light in victory lane with Austin and his Penske teammates in 2022."

The 23-year-old from Columbus, Ohio, Austin Cindric will begin his rookie season in the NASCAR Cup Series with the kickoff of the 2022 season, after four years of competing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Cindric won the Xfinity Series title in 2020, and also attained Roger Penske's sixth Xfinity Series owner's championship title. On top of that, Cindric has racked up a total of 133 starts, 13 wins, 62 top-five finishes, and 89 top-10 finishes. He raced in the Cup Series for seven races last season and collected 2 top-15 finishes.

Austin Cindric said, "Becoming the driver of the iconic No. 2 in the Cup Series has helped me develop an even deeper appreciation for the rich history of the car and the team. Building on the partnership with Keystone Light and Molson Coors adds another chapter to that history. The No. 2 has evolved over the years. First it was Midnight, then the Blue Deuce - so I'm excited to add to the tradition and 'Grab a Stone' with Keystone Light and our team in 2022."

The Texas All-Star Race will be held at Texas Motor Speedway, beginning with the 50-lap All-Star Open, and then the 150-mile All-Star race on May 22nd; It is to be televised on FS1, and radio broadcasted on MRN.
