Kyle Larson wins pole for 2022 "Daytona" 500

    The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson brought his No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro to start on the pole position in the 2022 "Daytona" 500 on Sunday, February 20th. 

Starting alongside of Larson will be teammate Alex Bowman, in his No. 48 Ally Chevrolet Camaro, this marking his 5th consecutive front-row start in the "Daytona" 500. 

NASCAR introduced a new method of qualifying, with the top-10 fastest, taking another shot at the pole position. Then the top-two fastest cars during qualifying will have their starting positions locked in, while the remained of the "Daytona" 500 field will race for position in the Duels on Thursday, February 17th.

It is worth noting that drivers Jacques Villeneuve and Noah Gragson made the 2022 "Daytona" 500 lineup based on qualifying speeds.
