For the first time ever, Hill Motorsports, a family owned team will compete full-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, as the team embarks on the 2022 season. Timmy Hill, a fan favorite NASCAR racer will have a full-time opportunity to show his talent, as the his family's team starts a second entry and becomes a TRD supported team.
As Units Moving and Portable Storage steps in for six races of the 2022 season, the company will come on board at Atlanta (March), Darlington Raceway (May), Texas Motor Speedway (May), Knoxville Raceway (June), Richmond Raceway (August), and finally Talladega Superspeedway (October). Although the Charleston, South Carolina company will sponsor the team for six races, Hill Motorsports will be on the lookout for more sponsors as the No. 56 truck will still need funding for 17 more races.
With 64 locations across the United States, Units Moving and Portable Storage is the industry leader in moving and portable storage franchises. The company was founded by Michael and Holly McAlhany in 2002, when the began a self storage business. The duo soon saw the demand for the more versatile portable storage, and jumped head on into that direction. Quickly accumulating locations of business, "Units" grew into the business that it is today. The company has plans to expand internationally in the coming years, but for now they will spread their name through the marketing of NASCAR sponsorship.
Although Hill Motorsports may not be the most competitive team on the circuit, small teams such as this one often gain attention in NASCAR as they are bound to wind up in some story line. Units Moving and Portable Storage are likely getting a more affordable sponsorship deal as they drop to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, but their investment into marketing will help small teams such as Hill Motorsports grow. Expect to see a paint scheme for this company be released in the coming weeks and months.
