Sage Karam joins Alpha Prime Racing for 12 to 16 races in 2022

Alpha Prime Racing (formerly Martins Motorsports) revealed Thursday afternoon (1/6/22) that Sage Karam will pilot the team's No. 45 Chevrolet Camaro for 12-16 NASCAR Xfinity Series races in 2022. As the team transforms into the all new "Alpha Prime Racing" for the 2022 race season, the team will also expand to two full-time teams with the No. 45, a detail confirmed as of today's statements.

Sage Karam, primarily a road racer, got his start in open wheel racing. He will be expanding his resume this season as he is slated to complete a considerable portion of the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule. From 2014 to present day, Sage Karam has made 23 starts in the NTT IndyCar Series running a near complete schedule 2015 where he scored his best finish, a podium finish of 3rd. In 2021 Karam took a sharp turn with his career path, parnering with Jordan Anderson Racing and getting involved in the world's largest stock car racing division, NASCAR. Karam would make his first start in the sport at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course, driving the No. 31 Camaro in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. From there on out Karam would compete in three more Xfinity Series races that season (Bristol Paved, Charlotte ROVAL, and Phoeinix Championship Race) as well as one NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race driving the Jordan Anderson Racing No. 3 Silverado at Martinsville Speedway. Among those five starts, Karam's best finish would a solid 16th run in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Alpha Prime Racing will be quite a changed team as the 2022 season goes into full swing. Adding drivers like Sage Karam, Ryan Ellis, Rajah Caruth, and (most likely) Caesar Bacarella, the team will transform from what was a family owned team with one driver to a team owned by multiple parties with multiple, new, talented drivers in 2022. Martins Motorsports had it's ups and downs, but it was overall a strong organization for the resources it had. To bring the team to the next level, contend for wins, and see even further improvement Alpha Prime Workout Regimen will have its name plastered all over the team, and new talent like Sage Karam will pour in.

Albeit a young driver, just starting his stock car racing career, Karam can pilot a race car and could help to bring success to Alpha Prime Racing. The possibilities may not be endless, but as new management enters the picture with Alpha Prime Racing, and the No. 45 is revived for 2022, this team could emerge stronger than ever. It's safe to say Sage Karam, a talented up-and-comer will play a substantial role in how the team performs in 2022.
