The young driver from La Mirada, California made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut back in the fall of 2020 at Texas Motor Speedway, bringing social media giant Tik Tok along for the ride on his No. 6 Camaro. After finishing eighth in that debut race, Vargas would part ways with Tik Tok, and peruse new sponsorship from other companies. Managing most of the sponsorship on his own, Ryan Vargas was able to compete for an entire season, racking in funding from New Orleans Saints' Alvin Kamara and The Big Squeezy, BestBuy, Swann Security, and KDST, Monarch Roofing, and MaintenX.
Working his way up through the ranks the old fashioned way, Vargas is writing his own story, and plans to take JD Motorsports to greater heights as he continues his racing career. Making moves, contacting potential sponsors on his own, and taking advantage of every opportunity which seems fit, Ryan Vargas has qualities seldom found in today's racing world. Although Vargas claims he "Should have never made it this far", the driver of the No. 6 will have many opportunities to shine in the upcoming season, and his personality is a valuable one.
