The partnership marks the latest crypto outfit to back a NASCAR driver and team, a growing trend not only in motorsports, but across all professional sports leagues. In 2022, Brandon Brown will sport an eye-catching red, white, and blue livery with LGBcoin adorning his No. 68 Chevrolet Camaro for all 33 races of the NASCAR Xfinity Series season.
LGBcoin is a new, decentralized meme cryptocurrency, similar to other meme coins and tokens, such as Dogecoin and Shiba Inu. LGBcoin has achieved a market capitalization of more than $300 million in less than six months. The patriotic coin, dubbed “America’s Coin” aims to inspire positivity and unity, grounded in a strong belief of the American dream.
LGBcoin is based on a chant “Let’s Go Brandon”, using the name of NASCAR driver Brandon Brown, but actually targeting United States President Joe Biden. This chant was dubbed after TV personnel at a NASCAR Xfinity Series race misreported what was an anti Joe Biden chant, and made the claim the crowd was saying “Let’s Go Brandon”. Since then many individuals have used the chant to express their own political beliefs, and doing so in a non-vulgar manner. Due to that fact, “Let’s Go Brandon” has gone viral, and companies like LGBcoin have harnessed that attention to begin successful companies. Though “Let’s Go Brandon” has been occasionally used against Brandon Brown, Brown who is not responsible for the chant, will reap the benefits of it as LGBcoin steps in to fund Brandonbilt Motorsports for the entire 2022 season.
LGBcoin says that the point of their company is to focus on the literal meaning of “Let’s Go Brandon”, not creating a politically charged partnership, instead bringing support to Brandon Brown and standing for the American dream.
Brown will bring LGBcoin to its NASCAR debut at Daytona on February 19th, 2022, in the "Beef. It's What's for Dinner." 300.
