NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Zane Smith, will start his third full-time season in the racing series next year, though the driver will not be  returning to the GMS Racing No. 21 Chevrolet Silverado.

After two runner-up championship finishes with GMS Racing, Zane Smith is moving and his former team are looking to move along. Smith will now now open join Front Row Motorsports' to drive No. 38 Ford F-150, as Todd Gilliland makes the jump to the NASCAR Cup Series. There, the young driver will attempt to break out of his runner-up championship streak, and finally become a NASCAR Truck Series champion. Front Row Motorsports' equipment leaves much to question.

The No. 38 Truck ride opened up after Front Row Motorsports moved Todd Gilliland to the NASCAR Cup Series for 2022. After his victory at Martinsville Speedway, Zane Smith advanced to the Championship 4, but did have questions about his future in the series. Smith was apparently in talks with NASCAR Cup Series team Chip Ganassi Racing looking 2022 plans, but those plans fell through wen the team sold their NASCAR operations to Trackhouse Racing.

This is one of many driver changes occurring this season as several NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers have announced details about new opportunities in the past months, weeks, and days. There are likely more changes to come for teams within the series as we approach the 2022 race season.
