Gearwrench moving to sponsor Kevin Harvick, Stewart-Haas Racing in 2022

Stewart-Haas Racing

Gearwrench, a major hand tool brand from Apex Tool Group, has announced their sponsorship of Kevin Harvick and Stewart-Haas Racing in 2022.

As Chip Ganassi Racing has sold their operation to Trackhouse Racing, Gearwrench decided not to move with Kurt Busch to 23XI Racing, or transition over to Trackhouse with Chastain or Suarez. Instead, they will be moving to sponsor Kevin Harvick at Stewart-Haas Racing.

The multi-year sponsorship deal includes 5 primary sponsorship races a year, and an associate sponsorship package on the No. 4 Ford Mustang for the rest of the season. Gearwrench also will become the Official Tool Partner of SHR, and will receive the naming rights to the main assembly area of the Stewart-Haas Racing 140,000 square-foot headquarters, which will known as the "Gearwrench Garage".

Gearwrench is not new to the NASCAR sponsorship scene, because since as they have sponsored Carl Edwards, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr, Jamie MacMurray, and most recently, Kurt Busch. They took their to victory lane for the first time, as the primary sponsor of Kurt Busch, in the July 2021 race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

As of now, non of Kevin Harvick's current sponsors have announced that they were leaving SHR or the sport altogether, so it will be interesting to see if a sponsor moves to another SHR driver to make room for Gearwrench.
