StarCom Racing to Shutdown at the End of 2021, Confirmed by Team Employee

Earlier today (9/15/21) StarCom Racing crew member Charlie Langenstien confirmed that the team will close their doors at the end of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season.

This confirmation was made via social networking app Twitter where Langenstien said: We at StarCom Racing have been notified that our team will cease operations when the checkered flag falls in a few weeks at Phoenix.” For obvious reasons, this news was not ready to be made public, and Charlie Langenstien has since deleted the tweet. Though the tweet is now gone, the supposed content of this tweet has been archived by a few fans with extreme due diligence. What is believed to be Charlie Langenstien’s letter can be seen below:

StarCom Racing, the team who is best known for their underfunded status has competed in the NASCAR Cup Series since 2017, where they have fielded the No. 00 car with drivers like Jeffery Earnhardt, Joey Gase, Landon Cassill, and most recently Quin Houff behind the wheel. The team’s best finish came during the 2019 “Coke Zero Sugar” 400 at Daytona International Speedway, where Landon Cassil surprisingly brought the No. 00 Camaro to an 11th place finish.

Led by 1990 “Daytona” 500 Champion Derrike Cope, StarCom Racing (according to our knowledge) will close their doors come the season finale on November 7th, 2021. Unfortunately, StarCom Racing’s days are numbered, and the team will soon fade into obscurity.
